McDonald’s Dream Team

Meet the Kids
Every year, three of CHEO’s oncology patients bravely answer the call to become the faces of the CN Cycle for CHEO by joining the McDonald’s Dream Team. They represent all children and youth in our region who are facing cancer. These young ambassadors and their families know first-hand what the patients at CHEO are going through. Their commitment of time, energy and enthusiasm inspires us all to support the crucial work devoted to ending pediatric cancer. The courage these young people bring to this event makes us so proud to present them to you.

Did You Know?
Every cancer patient has the opportunity to receive a bell-ringing ceremony. Families, friends, and CHEO staff gather to cheer on their patients as they ring the special bell to mark the end of their treatment. It is an emotional and celebratory moment that highlights their courage.
Oncology kids and youth deserve the best care and each patient receives a treatment plan unique to them that reflects their needs. The team at CHEO ensures each patient receives compassionate, expert care tailored just for them.
Less invasive treatment means increased quality of life. Scientists at CHEO are producing oncolytic viruses capable of attacking cancer cells while leaving healthy cells intact. This very promising therapy is now in the clinical trials phase in adults.
