Registration

Yes, as long as they have written consent from you to do so. Please make sure they have all your information to help with a seamless pick-up process.

No. Every participant should choose a route they can comfortably complete by noon.

We would love to have you on board. Please check out the volunteer positions available and then sign up online.

There is no limit on the number of members any team can have, but the minimum number is five.

We accept personal cheques made out to “CN Cycle for CHEO – In Trust”. You can also donate by calling (613) 299-1743.

Yes, if you chose to participate as a fundraiser when you registered, your registration fee will be waived once you have raised the required amount. The required fundraising amount is $200 for the CN Century ride, $90 for adults, and $40 for children. Should you be unable to raise the fundraising minimum, any money raised cannot go to your registration fee and the full fee of $185 for CN Century ride participants, $75 for adults, and $30 for children will apply. To register for the event you will need to bring your signed registration/pledge form, photo identification, and any cheque pledges you have collected.  Remember: if you are under 18, your parent or guardian needs to sign your registration/pledge form.

Registration fees for adults are as follows:

Before April 21 – $65

April 21 to May 3 – $75

Adults may choose to waive the registration fee by fundraising a minimum of $90 prior to event start.

Registration fees for children 12 and younger are as follows:

April 21 to May 3 – $30

Children may choose to waive the registration fee by fundraising a minimum of $40 prior to event day.

Event Information

Just shy of 100 kilometres, this cross-provincial, non-competitive, fully supported route links the beautiful Ottawa parkways with the stunning Gatineau Park. Please note that registration is limited.

Yes, you are permitted to ride a bike with a chariot or trailer.

The Canadian War Museum is located at 1 Vimy Place, on LeBreton Flats, at the corner of Booth Street and the Kichi Zībī Mīkan Parkway, west of Parliament Hill.

The event is being held at the Canadian War Museum and LeBreton Flats, located at 1 Vimy Place.

The CN Cycle for CHEO is being held on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Event start times are as follows:

  • CN Century Ride – 7:00 a.m.
  • Ericsson 70K Cycle – 8:30 a.m.
  • 35K Cycle – 9:00 a.m.
  • National Bank Financial 15K Cycle – 10:00 a.m.
  • Coughlin & Associates 5K Walk – 10:30 a.m.
  • 2K Walk – 10:30 a.m.

Note: please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your start time

CN Cycle for CHEO is a rain or shine event, however, in extreme weather conditions there can be delays or cancellation. For event day updates, please refer to the CN Cycle for CHEO website, the CHEO Foundation website and local media channels. In the event of a cancellation there is no rain date and the event will not take place in 2026.

They directly support oncology care, treatment, and research at CHEO. This vital funding helps ensure children and youth facing cancer receive world-class care. Proceeds also fuel groundbreaking research to discover new treatments and improve survival rates.

By cheque to “CN Cycle for CHEO – In Trust”.

Tax receipts will be issued within 90 days of the event. Please note that only donations for $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt.

Family

Yes, but we ask that you please keep your dog on a leash, stay at the back of the pack and remember to stoop and scoop up after your pet.

Yes, while being respectful of other participants who are walking.

No. That being said, in the spirit of this being a fundraiser, we encourage you to make a donation on her behalf. Please be aware that food tickets are only provided to registered participants.  

Since this is a fundraiser, we encourage all family members to register and collect pledges together to help kids with cancer. In addition, all registered participants receive CN Cycle for CHEO bibs, which can facilitate the identification of lost children or injured cyclists.

Stop by the baggage drop tent located at the secure bike parking lot.

Parking & Transportation

Yes, the event grounds are near Pimisi station. Bikes are allowed on OC Transpo trains (on the first car), and two bikes can be transported on OC Transpo buses.

  • Indoor Parking at the Museum:
    • Indoor parking spaces are available for your convenience.
    • The rate is $2 per half hour.The daily maximum rate is $18.
  • Outdoor Parking
    There is additional parking on streets around the Canadian War Museum – at the discretion and risk of the driver.


*Free Parking:

Additional Parking is available at Tunney’s Pasture (the Brooke Claxton building) – 70 Colombine Driveway. With a free shuttle running to and from the event grounds.

Yes, from Tunney’s Pasture to the event grounds at LeBreton Flats and back. At both locations, buses will stop at the shuttle signs to pick up riders.

Yes, except where we need to provide access to museums and churches along the route and where there is road construction. In these situations, cyclists will ride in one lane coned off from traffic for a few blocks. Several intersections have a strong police presence as we navigate in and around traffic. Please exercise additional caution and cooperate with direction of the police officers at these intersections. Please find the full list of road closures here.
